About us
The Center at Kahuna Falls is an exquisite B&B located along the Hamakua coast on the Big Island of Hawaii. There is a large, comfortable lodge for guests to gather and many outdoor spaces to explore. A large Lanai surrounds the main lodge and each bedroom building. A lanai is a covered porch without screens which is great for relaxing despite hot sun or rain.
The bedrooms surround the central garden court yard providing everyone with a beautiful view. There are always flowers in bloom. We have an assortment of beds; twin, double and queen and both private and shared bathrooms. All rooms are non smoking.
The property around the B & B is lush with rivers, tropical forests and panoramic ocean views. The sunrise, sunset, moon and stars are truly magnificent. The sky feels huge. There is a full view of The Milky Way. Everyone who visits feels a very special energy on the property.
Just 15 miles north of Hilo,the property is close to many of the Big Island's activities, but it feels as though you are a million miles away in your own private sanctuary in the country.
You will experience living " off the grid" at the center with the use of hydro power. Please ask us about the technology if you are interested in green power.
During your stay you are welcome to use our large temple and yoga studio. Friends and families enjoy volleyball, horseshoes, darts, hiking and sunbathing. Kole Kole Beach Park and a local surfing beach are a 5-10 minute drive. Akaka Falls State Park and the Botanical Gardens are a 20 minute drive.
