Kahuna Falls rests on forty acres along Hawaiʻi’s Hamakua Coast, land that has lived many lives. Once sugar cane fields and later a macadamia nut farm, the property slowly evolved into what it is today.
The first structure was a private A-frame, along with the original workshop and residence. As the vision expanded, additional structures were thoughtfully built—most notably the retreat center, designed in a Japanese-inspired style with high ceilings, clean lines, and sliding doors that open to ocean views. Stamped concrete drives, winding paths, expansive lanais, and hand-crafted details are woven throughout the land, inviting both movement and pause.

The entire estate is fully off-grid. Water is collected through rain catchment and filtered on site. Power is generated through a blend of hydroelectric energy from the waterfall and solar power, allowing the land to operate in harmony with its surroundings.
Across the grounds you’ll find a fire pit, pizza oven, barbecue area, a dedicated facilitator house, and an additional three-bedroom residence. The lower parking area doubles as an open-air gathering space, often used for full moon dance parties beneath the stars. The land is alive and working, occasionally shared with our two resident sheep, who quietly graze the open spaces.
Every element of Kahuna Falls has been shaped with care—honoring the land’s history while creating a sanctuary designed for rest, connection, and transformation.
